Beth Blum, DO
Beth is a fully licensed physician and board certified specialist in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a three year residency in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where she performed over 2,000 osteopathic treatments, including treatment of nearly 200 newborns (the ultimate preventative medicine.) She is a member of the Cranial Academy and has over 200 hours of training in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.
Dr. Blum is a size-inclusive practitioner and is committed to providing body-positive, gender-affirming care. Before medical school, she trained as a homebirth doula, worked with autistic and neurodiverse young people, and organized around transformative justice and community-based responses to sexual violence. These experiences, combined with her deep dissatisfaction with the profit- and pharmaceutical-driven medical system, inspired her to go into medicine and build a practice founded on the principles of accessibility and patient self-determination. Susan Blum, PT, C/TMR
Susan has been a Physical Therapist for over 47 years, with a focus on pediatrics since 1987, including 20 years working for Early Intervention. She is the creator and lead instructor for the TMR Tots and Teens educational programs, through which she has trained over 3,000 therapists (and countless caregivers) on 6 continents how to use the osteopathic concept of an ease-based approach to transform the lives of children. In 2021 she was awarded the Pediatric Special Interest Award of Excellence by the PAPTA in appreciation for outstanding contributions to the pediatric physical therapy profession.
Susan joins Philly Osteopathic from April and October to consult at initial visits of pediatric patients and offer caregivers an at-home treatment plan that complements and accelerates the in-office work done by Beth.
